A Cup A Day

ShantiMayi wishes to motivate the sangha and others to support sangha projects by contributing financially with what is equivalent to a cup of coffee a day.

In Denmark it is the Sacha Sangha Society, which collects and passes on the contributions to the "A Cup a Day" Fund.

For the first few years, this fund financed the construction of the stupa at Sacha Kutir - work which ShantiMayi put in motion. Now it is used for maintenance of the stupa, as well as the Lakota indians and a Tibetan monastery in India which was established by the Dalai Lama's Oracle, Nechung Kuten.

Everything that is supported by the A Cup a Day Fund is something/someone that ShantiMayi has a personal connection with.

A cup of coffee a day was "translated" as one euro a day. Most people contribute DKK 225 per month.

When you pay your contribution to the Sacha Sangha Society bank account, please mark you payment "a cup a day" or "voluntary contribution".
